1) No Enticing Subject. Think logically. In a sea of promotional emails, if nothing within the subject or first
line grabs the reader, they will never make it to your offer. Every email needs all four components of IF Marketing’s TOIB formula: Teaser, Offer, Immediacy, and Brand. A strong teaser is critical to the success of your campaign. Try utilizing some of these symbols and words that are known to attract attention and increase click-through rates.

2) No Call-to-Action. If you send an email to senders with an extensive amount of information, make sure there’s instruction as to what next: Do they call you to purchase something? Do they click on a link to your website to learn more? Never assume that your reader knows what you want them to do. If you don’t tell them to do it, assume that they won’t.
3) Inconsistency of Touches. – Know the difference between consistent email blasting and spamming. Spam is when you only want to sell something and aren’t providing any value to the reader. A well crafted email contains IF Marketing’s WIFM formula and asks “What’s in it for me?” When your emails are providing the reader with valuable content and sent consistently, you’re not spamming… you’re developing relationships with your database. Eventually, people may even begin to look forward to emails from you.
